excitement ♥ : From 2010 On ...
Climb The Bedsheet
this was, after the discovery of Made With Love, my very first layout.
since the year was filled with the excitement of my youngest cousin's birth, her photos became my main focus.
yet she wasn't the reason that i started scrapbooking.
it was her.
when she, my buddy since Secondary 3 [well, we knew each other since Sec. 1 but we got closer when we were in Sec. 3] announced that she was getting married, i wanted to do something special for her wedding gift.
i threw out the idea of "buying" something for her almost immediately so i searched the wonderful World Wide Web for something hand-made.
" scrapbooking " caught my eye and everything began.
it has only been two years since i began scrapbooking but it felt longer.
so much longer.
i'm just glad that mrs. Mom was a big part of this happiness.

i planned this little One-Day event for almost three months.
there were a few hick-ups here and there but at the end of the day, both of my beloved vintages enjoyed themselves.
and my aim 'To Try New Things Together' was achieved for the day.
since there were two May birthday ladies, i couldn't resist doing two layouts.

for mrs. Mom's birthday this year, we had a stay-cation at Sentosa Siloso Beach Resort.
we ordered room service for the whole 2 nights and what is a meal without desserts.

these were long due.

an LO consisting of the things we did and ate in Tanjung Pinang, one of Indonesia's many small islands.
the main itinerary was to have curtains made but what's a short getaway without shopping and good food.
using one of Simple Stories Documented and my favourite American Crafts Thickers font.

this was taken in Lotus Desaru, an enormous multi-storey resort in Desaru.
the journaling writes:-
straight into a ditch.
crashed into a fence.
too small of a turn.
controls stiffened my shoulders.
$45 per 20-minute run.
will i do this again?
yes, most definitely.
how can i refuse this muddy awesomeness?
i'll be better next time, i'm sure.
i hope.
i have another four more LOs to complete.
let's hope the bathroom renovation, aka cleaning, doesn't drain me too much.
